About Me

I got a late start in finding out what I wanted to be when I grow up. Then, after obtaining my long overdue college degree (in psychology) very late in life, I realized what I really want to be is someone who never grows up.  By that, I mean I want to look at the world each and every day with awe and wonder as if I’m a child in a giant toy store.  Learning something new and experimenting with what I’ve learned is pretty much what I do now on a daily basis. Every once in a while, I come up with something I think is worth sharing with others. When I do, I try to find fun ways to share it. I am also obsessed with technology and the possibilities of the web. I love watching the future unfold before my eyes. The fact that there is so much more out there still to be learned or discovered than what has already been learned/discovered gets my heart thumping. Oh…and I am still, first and foremost, a wife to a wonderful husband, a mom to the best Labradoodle ever, and a part-time advisor to my two kids who are navigating through their own adulthood. I am tickled that they turned out to be kind, intelligent, and free-thinking human beings, despite my quirky parenting. Go figure!

This site was created solely for my own enjoyment of expressing myself.  I learned somewhere along the way that trying to impress or please other people ends up, sooner or later, in the loss of freedom to be my genuine self.  My past several attempts to share myself online started well but slowly ended up with the unfortunate result of me trying to impress “them,” whoever they are.  This new site is yet another experiment to see if I can present myself as is, thus the name (*the name of this blog used to be “RES IPSA LOQUITUR,” which means “the thing that speaks for itself,” but I have changed the name to simply “linda’s blog” since then.)   One of these days, I’ll succeed in my lifelong quest to comfortably and confidently wear my own skin.  …because everything else makes me look fat. 😀

And taken from a very wise and very eloquent friend:

If “they” don’t like it… Fuck ’em!

It’s the single best advice I’ve ever gotten in my whole entire life!!

Every new day has the potential to be the best day of my life.

Every new moment is filled with possibilities.

The infinite ellipses…

Online, I often refer to myself as linda3dots.

Yay!  🙂
