This past winter, a good friend recently lost her husband suddenly, and while I was at her house to offer support, she showed me a picture of the two of them that she said was his favorite. It was an old 3 x 5 snapshot not in the greatest of shape. There was backlighting, making the faces too dark, and the photo itself had lots of small surface scratches on it.
I told her I would take the photo and try to do something with it for her.
I made a scan of the photo, did some tedious editing in Photoshop, and came up with this final version:
I then had a 24 x 32 canvas print made through a print shop and presented to her when she had a large gathering recently in memory of his birthday.
Seeing how happy she was with the gift made all the work so very worthwhile. 🙂 🙂 🙂
